Volunteer Information
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our 40th Annual Conference at the Univeristy of North Florida in Jacksonville, May 14-17, 2020.
We have a variety of volunteer roles available. They may overlap in time, and there's no built in restriction when you sign up to prevent you from double-booking yourself, so please be mindful of that. Check the Conference Schedule so that you're not committing to volunteer during a workshop or speaker that you're interested in.
It's our policy to offer our volunteers one free conference registration day for every four hours that you volunteer, so please tally up your shifts appropriately. A conference registration day includes lunch and mid-conference refreshments, but not socials, dinner, or field trips.
There are four steps to register as a volunteer for the conference:
- Register for the Volunteer event using the
button. Enter your name and email address and hit
, and
again to confirm. You'll receive a general confirmation email immediately at the email address you entered.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the confirmation page and then click the link » Back to "40th Annual Conference Volunteer Signup" event information to go back to register for your volunteer shifts.
- Peruse the available volunteer shifts by clicking the
button. Select the check boxes for the responsibilities and shifts you want. You can read more about the positions by clicking the little callout button
. Once you've selected all of the positions you want (making sure they don't conflict with each other), submit by clicking the grey
button. Confirm your contact information and shifts by clicking the
button. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately with your volunteer shifts.
- Then visit the 2020 Conference Registration website to complete your registration.
Registration volunteers must attend the Registration Volunteer Orientation on Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-4:30pm. We strongly prefer that registration volunteers don't do any other type of volunteering for the conference. We also ask that registration volunteers become familiar with the Conference Field Trips, since onsite registrants often have many questions about the field trips.
Chapter Table volunteers must attend the Chapter Table Setup and Orientation on Thursday afternoon from 3:30-5:00pm. We strongly prefer that registration volunteers don't do any other type of volunteering. Volunteers may be asked to use their personal smartphone to process payments.
